The building has been the site of several crimes and accidents. In 1982, an 18-year-old man fell to his death after climbing a construction crane. In 1983, a 65-year-old woman was killed after being hit by a piece of falling ice. In 2009, a man committed suicide by jumping from a building.

In 2011, a man was killed after being pushed onto the subway tracks by another man. In 2012, a woman was critically injured after being pushed down a flight of stairs by her husband. In 2013, a man was killed after being hit by a falling piece of glass. In 2014, a man was critically injured after being attacked by another man with a knife. Who is Der Scutt?

Der Scutt (born 1937) is an American architect best known for his work on Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue in New York City. Scutt was born in Detroit, Michigan, and received his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Detroit Mercy in 1961.

After graduation, Scutt worked for several architectural firms in Detroit and New York City before starting his practice in 1974. In 1983, he was hired by Donald Trump to design Trump Tower, a 58-story skyscraper on Fifth Avenue. The building was completed in 1984 and is now one of the most recognizable landmarks in New York City.

In addition to Trump Tower, Scutt has designed several other notable buildings in New York City, including the Sony Building (formerly the AT&T Building) on Madison Avenue and the Liberty Tower on Broadway.
